"I am really looking forward to sharing God's Word and worshiping the Lord as a church community."
Message From Amy Nyland
Hello, North Branch Reformed Church!
I have officially arrived in New Jersey, and so far, I just love it. Thank you to everyone who sent me welcoming emails and offers of help. The move was smooth and mostly problem-free, and I am getting settled in my new home.
I am looking forward to meeting everyone and working together to do the ministry God is calling us to. These first few weeks, I will be getting oriented to the church, finding out who does what and how things work overall. I'll be in the office beginning January 22nd and would love to meet you. Feel free to email me to let me know you'll be stopping by so I can be sure to be there.
I'll be working with the Pastor Staff Team to determine a schedule that will best meet the needs of the congregation and also allow me to do what needs to be done in the community, with Classis, etc. Once I have it figured out, I will send an email to everyone and post it in the bulletin. I am planning to take Friday and Saturday as my days off unless there is a church event on one of those days.
My email address is AAmy..Nyllandd@nnbrcc.coom and my cell is 914-362-5990. Feel free to text or call. I will ask that, apart from an emergency, you not call me before 9 AM or after 9 PM. If I am unable to take your call, leave a message, and I will call you back as quickly as possible. If your call comes on my day off and is not an emergency, I will return it the next workday. Feel free to email or text any time and I will respond at the next possible opportunity.
My first Sunday in worship will be the 28th, and I am really looking forward to sharing God's Word and worshiping the Lord as a church community. In the next few months, look for information regarding round tables and group discussions on various topics and opportunities for social gatherings so we can get to know one another and have meaningful conversations about the mission and ministry of the church.
May God continue to bless you!
Pastor Amy
